GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team returns home this weekend to host its second home tournament of the 2022-23 season when the Pirates welcome Maryland, Monmouth and Saint Joseph's for the Pirate Invitational.

The Pirates (13-3) are off to their best start since 2005 after defeating Elon 5-1 in a midweek matchup on the road and going 4-1 in last weekend's Pirate Clash. Junior pitcher Addy Bullis has been dominant in the circle so far this year with an 8-0 record and a 0.60 ERA. Bullis was named AAC Pitcher of the Year on Feb. 27.

Maryland History
The series is tied 3-3 between the two teams with the Pirates taking the last matchup 2-0 on May 21, 2011. The Pirates have won the last two meetings and this will be the first time the Terps have played in Max R. Joyner Stadium.

Monmouth History
This will be the first meeting between the Pirates and the Hawks.

Saint Joseph's History
ECU leads the series 2-0 as the Pirates defeated Saint Joseph's 3-1 on Feb. 17, 2018.
