GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina soccer team continues conference play on Thursday as they travel to Tampa, Fla. for a tilt with the South Florida Bulls. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates suffered a draw which felt like a loss last time out. After taking the lead with 16:37 to play, the team allowed an unfortunate equalizer in the 87th minute on a free kick from the right side of the pitch. Sydney Schnell scored the lone goal for the Pirates in the game, her second straight game with a goal and her team-lead tying third goal overall on the season.

Scouting the Bulls
South Florida enters the game on the heels of an upset win over No. 21 Gonzaga on Sunday. Peyton Vincze and Kouri Peace scored in the game as the Bulls found a way to win despite being outshot in the game, including an 8-4 margin in shots on goal. The win was timely for a team looking for some consistency after a 1-1-1 run in their three preceding games including their first two American Athletic Conference contests.

The Pirates and Bulls have met 14 times throughout their histories. The bad news: the Pirates have lost 11 straight in the series after a 2-1 defeat at home a season ago. The good news: this is a new year.
