Pirate Club Pledge Day A Success
January 26, 2024 | General
GREENVILLE, N.C. – More than 1,500 donors invested $2.4 million in the inaugural Pirate Club Pledge Day earlier this week. Anyone who made a pledge from Jan. 1 to Jan. 23 earned double priority points on what was paid to their 2024 membership.
Â
The Pirate Club increased their pledges by $1.6 million compared to the same time last year, payments increased by $1.1 million and 820 more donors committed than a year ago. More than 100 new Pirate Club members were added, and 307 Pirate Club members increased their pledge from a year ago.
Â
"On behalf of the Pirate Club and ECU Athletics, we are extremely thankful to all the donors who participated and committed to the IMPACT FUND as part of the Pirate Club Pledge Day," Pirate Club Executive Director Ryan Robinson said. "Scholarship funds are crucial to the success of the Pirate Club as we strive to give our student-athletes a world-class experience while they are on campus. This is a time of tremendous optimism and opportunity for the Pirates, and we want to carry this momentum forward as we aim to increase our overall membership in 2024."
Â
The goal of the Pirate Club Pledge Day was to bring awareness to the IMPACT FUND and have members renew their membership for 2024 in January. The IMPACT FUND provides financial support and the resources necessary for our student-athletes to earn a degree from East Carolina University while also competing at an elevated level.
Â
Donations to the IMPACT FUND not only give donors an annual membership, priority in terms of tickets and parking, they directly impact the ability of the Pirate Club to fund scholarships. Becoming a Pirate Club member is an annual commitment for as little as $100 annually. We have monthly payment plans that can be set up by calling the Pirate Club offices at (252) 737-4540. Please check out the 2024 Pirate Club Membership Packet for the different levels you can join.
Â
All current Pirate Club members can receive priority points by recruiting new members to join the Pirate Club. Current Pirate Club members can recruit new individuals and businesses to become members and priority points will be issued to their account. Once a new member joins, the existing Pirate Club member will fill out a form online here and they will receive five priority points.
