GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Pirate Club has received numerous investments over the past month for the baseball building expansion project as part of the Pirates Unite Campaign for Comprehensive Excellence. More than $6 million has been raised for the proposed expansion.
Â
"We are so thankful for the generosity of all the individuals and businesses who have donated to the project that will greatly benefit our baseball program," ECU Baseball head coach Cliff Godwin said. "The support from Pirate Nation for our baseball program is second to none and it will take gifts of all sizes to get us across the plate."
Â
Eric and Stephanie Long of Elon, N.C. invested $100,000 in the campaign to support the baseball building expansion. The Longs have two daughters - Julia, Olivia, and one son, Grady. Mr. Long earned a degree from ECU in construction management and currently serves as Vice President of Delta Contracting. Mrs. Long graduated from ECU with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Â

The Cooke family are baseball and football season-ticket holders and have been loyal members of the Pirate Club for more than 20 years. Mr. Cooke is the Territory Manager for GAF Materials Corporation based out of Parsippany, NJ. Mrs. Cooke graduated from ECU in 1993 and Ashley is a 2021 ECU graduate.
