GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina University Department of Athletics is proud to announce the dancers who will make up the 2024-2025 ECU Dance Team, which was determined by auditions held on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

The 2024-2025 ECU Dance Team consists of a diverse squad of 20 dancers, featuring 15 returnees and five newcomers. Performing as a part of the squad again will be Julianna Amundson (Greenville), Kinsley Barclay (Salisbury), Caroline Barlow (Kannapolis), Jalon Blackwell (Hendersonville), Madelyn Brook (Mount Royal, NJ), Caroline Campbell (Harrisonburg, VA), Kaylee Chavis (Lumberton), McKenzie Denis (Charlotte), Jaden Eubanks (Belmont), Taylor Green (Holly Springs), Chloe Hampton (Oak Ridge), Allison Lander (Denver), Audrey Sams (Stafford, VA.), Katie Starns (Maiden), Kaitlyn Vlacich (Long Island, NY). Joining the veterans are five incoming freshman Mary Elizabeth Baker (Fuquay Varina), Briana Burrell (Gainsville, VA), Madeleine Cihon (Hillsborough, NJ), Xe'Nia Rosario (New Bern), and Emma Snider (Wilmington).Â
Â
"It is always exciting to select new members to join our program and to welcome them to Pirate Nation," head coach Kristin Jeffries said. "With only one graduating senior, selections were extremely difficult with the amount of talent displayed throughout the tryout day. The selection process was very competitive and challenging. These dancers showed tremendous work ethic and displayed enthusiasm and school spirit in their performances. I am looking forward to being able to showcase the talents of these young ladies during our athletic and community events this season."Â
Â
The audition consisted of three routines (jazz, pom and hip hop) taught the day of auditions, a technical skills demonstration, along with a personal interview.
