Guzman Takes Home Fourth AAC Diver Of The Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – For the fourth time this year and sixth time in her career, East Carolina redshirt junior Frida Zuniga Guzman has been named the American Athletic Conference Diving Athlete of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Guzman, who also claimed honors on Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and Nov. 26, picked up four wins in the Georgia Southern Tri-Meet that took place on December 14. She claimed top honors on the 1-meter (275.45) and 3-meter dives (277.15) over Georgia Southern and UNC Asheville.

Since the start of the 2024-25 season, Guzman and junior Sara Kalawska (swimming) have earned weekly honors. The Pirates return to action William & Mary Quad-Meet on January 11 in Hampton, Va.
