ECU Finishes Tied For Eighth At Elon Phoenix Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. – East Carolina posted a tournament score of 856 (4-over par) finishing tied for eighth place at the Elon Phoenix Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The two-day, 54-hole event was being held at the par 71, 6,871-yard Alamance Country Club.

Freshman Oscar Crowe, who played as an individual, was the Pirates top finisher claiming a share of 16th place with a score of 209 (4-under) with rounds of 69, 75 and 65. Sophomore Holden Rucker finished tied for 20th shooting a 3-under 210 (67-70-73), while senior Philip Lindberg Bondestad took a share of 24th at 211 (2 under, 76-67-68).

Rounding out ECU's roster were senior Davis DeLille who tied for 44th at 217 (4-over, 74-71-72) followed by sophomore Luke Mosley (75-72-74) and junior Adam Lennermark (75-70-76) who both claimed a share of 61st with a score of 221 (8-over).

Elon won the team title posting a score of 818 (32-under) which was four shots ahead of UNC Wilmington (28-under). Charleston Southern took third with an 8-under par 844.

ECU closes out the fall portion of its schedule participating in the ODU Kilmarlic in Kitty Hawk, N.C. from Oct. 26 through Oct. 28.
