Richmond, Va. – The East Carolina men's basketball team hits the road this weekend for an early road test in the 2025-26 season when the Pirates visit Richmond on Saturday evening at the Robins Center.
Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. ET and the contest will be streamed on ESPN+ with Bob Black (play-by-play) and Scott Ungerer (analyst) on the call. Pirate fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM, 94.3 The Game or download the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.

Jordan Riley scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds as East Carolina outlasted Georgia Southern 92-89 in the team's season opener at Minges Coliseum on Tuesday night.
Scouting the Spiders
Richmond enters Saturday's matchup coming off a dominant 84-56 win at home against Southern Virginia on Wednesday night. The Spiders had four players reach double figures in scoring, led by Jonathan Beagle's 12 points and were anchored inside by Preseason A-10 Third Team selection Mike Walz's nine points and seven rebounds. Richmond is 33-5 in non-conference contests over the last seven seasons.
Series History
Richmond leads the all-time series with East Carolina 53-30, but Saturday's matchup will be the first meeting between the two programs since Nov. 13, 2007, when the Spiders defeated the Pirates at Minges, 67-65, in overtime. ECU is 10-33 all-time at Richmond and the Pirates have lost their last eight games played on the Spiders' court with the last Pirate victory at Richmond coming on Feb. 11, 1995, where ECU escaped 59-58.
