Charlotte, N.C. – East Carolina is set to go back on the road this weekend for their third straight nationally televised game as the Pirates visit in-state opponent Charlotte at Halton Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The game is slated for a 4 p.m. tip time and will be televised on ESPNEWS as well as streamed on ESPN+ with Patrick O'Keefe (play-by-play) and Sean Harrington (analyst) on the call. Pirate fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM, 94.3 The Game or download the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.
The Pirates are led in scoring by graduate forward C.J. Walker's 18.6 points per game (4th in AAC) and the six-year veteran adds 6.9 rebounds per game as well. Walker was named the AAC Player of the Week on Monday, earned Oscar Robertson Trophy National Player of the Week honors and is averaging 28.6 points and 7.3 rebounds on 62 percent shooting from the floor in his last three games. Preseason All-AAC First Team guard RJ Felton adds 17.8 (5th in AAC) points per night and leads the team in rebounding with 7.2 boards per game while Jordan Riley averages 14.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 2.1 steals per game to round out ECU's top scorers. The trio of Felton, Walker, Riley makes up 66 percent of the Pirates' point production.
Walker Earns National Recognition
C.J. Walker was named one of the five Oscar Robertson Trophy National Players of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday after averaging 25.5 points on 60.7 percent shooting while also averaging eight rebounds and two blocks in two games last week.
Felton Climbing the Record Books
RJ Felton enters Saturday afternoon fourth all-time in scoring at East Carolina as the senior currently has 1,600 career points after passing Caleb White on Tuesday night. Felton is also one of only five players to hit 200 threes in his Pirate career and his one of only six ECU players to have 130 or more steals in their Pirate career.

Scouting the 49ers
Charlotte is coming off an 87-75 loss on the road to Florida Atlantic on Feb. 10 and the 49ers enter Saturday having lost four of their last five games. The 49ers are 7-6 in games played at Halton Arena this season. Nik Graves is one of four players that averages double figures in scoring with a team-high 17.2 points per game (7th in AAC). Charlotte is one of the best teams in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking fourth at 1.3.
