SNOW HILL, N.C. – The East Carolina men's golf team posted a 14-under par (850) finishing in second place at the 2025 Cutter Creek Intercollegiate. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at the Cutter Creek Country Club in Snow Hill, N.C. (par: 72, yardage: 7,280).

Of the Pirates six starters, four of them in junior Philip Linberg Bondestad (t4th), senior Tyler DeChellis (t7th), sophomore Drew O'Neal (t16th) and sophomore Nathan O'Neal (t18th) posted Top 20 finishes. Freshman Holden Rucker recorded his first career Top 5 finish with a share of second place, while fellow classmate Luke Mosley finished tied for seventh.

"We showed a lot of grit this weekend on a tough golf course in very wind conditions," said ECU Director of Golf/Men's Head Coach Kevin Williams. Especially proud of Holden (Rucker) in his run-up finish as well as Philip (Linberg Bondestad), who finished fourth."

Campbell won the team title after posting a final score of 842 (22-under). ECU (850/14-under) finished second followed by Harvard (867/3-over), Winthrop (870/6-over) and Old Dominion (871/7-over) to round out the top five. Individually, William Mitchell from Sandhills CC claimed top medalist honors shooting a 10-under par 206 and finishing three shots ahead of Rucker and Campbell's Henric Bjelke ay 209 (7-under).

ECU will close out the regular season April 11-12 when it participates in the Stitch Invitational. The two-day event will be held in Raleigh, N.C. at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club and hosted by NC State.
