SARASOTA, Fla. – East Carolina posted a final round score of 278 (10-under) to finish fifth at the 2025 American Athletic Conference Championships on Wednesday. The three-day, 54-hole event is being played at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club (par 72, 7,292 yards).
"Very proud of our team this week at the AAC Championships," ECU Director of Golf/Men's Head Coach Kevin Williams said. "We came out of the gate slow the first round but had a strong final two rounds! It has been a solid year and we are proud of the progress we have continued to make throughout the season. Without question the wonderful leadership of our two seniors, Carter Busse and Tyler DeChellis, played a major role in this improvement!
"This week, I can't say enough about Holden Rucker, as a freshman playing so solid, highlighted by him making a double eagle on his second hole of the day. Equally impressive was junior Philip Linberg Bondestad for shooting an 11-under par over the final two rounds!
