Tampa, Fla. – The East Carolina volleyball team seeks to snap a two-match skid this weekend as the Pirates get American Conference play started on the road against South Florida and Florida Atlantic.
The Pirates (8-3) and Bulls will square off on Friday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+ and ECU will then face off with Florida Atlantic on Sunday at noon on FAUSports.com.

South Florida snapped a two-match skid with a four-set win at home over Florida Atlantic, behind Addy Brus' season-high 18 kills. The Bulls are 3-1 on their home floor this season and have won their last three home matches. American Conference Preseason Player of the Year Maria Clara Andrade leads the Bulls in kills with 167 while Imani Hartfield is South Florida's top deterrent at the net with 34 total blocks.
The South Florida Series
South Florida leads the all-time series with East Carolina 17-9 including a 9-4 mark against the Pirates at home. The Pirates have lost the last four matches against the Bulls with ECU's last victory coming at home on Nov. 20, 2022, a 3-1 win. The last time ECU won at South Florida was on Sept. 26, 2021.
Looking At Florida Atlantic
Florida Atlantic saw its three-match winning streak snapped on Wednesday by South Florida as the Owls fell in four sets to the Bulls on the road. Olivia Hart led Florida Atlantic with 11 and the Owls dominated the Bulls in blocks (12-5) and at the service line (8-4) but were unable to ride the momentum of winning the first set. Hart leads the Owls' attack with 168 kills (3.5 per set) while Maggie Allred provides stout defense at the net with 1.17 blocks per set.
