
Pirates Visit Duke On Friday To Open 2025-26 Season

Durham, N.C. – The East Carolina women's swim and dive team is set to get their 2025-26 campaign underway this Friday afternoon when the Pirates compete against Duke and Boston College at the Taishoff Aquatic Center.
The tri-meet will be hosted by Duke with diving competitions set to begin at 4 p.m. followed by swim events at 5 p.m.
Eighth-year head coach Matthew Jabs returns 18 swimmers and divers from last season's team that went 11-1 in dual meets and finished fourth at the American Conference Championship. Frida Zuniga returns to lead ECU on the diving platform after qualifying for NCAAs in the 1-Meter, 3-Meter and Platform last season and winning the platform at the American Conference Championship.Â
Kinsley Baker, Sophie Benkusky, Kendall Bensen, Heidi Bruining, Carlie Clements, Sadie Covington, Elena Dinehart, Mikayla Durkin, Emilee Hamblin, Alyssa Heffelfinger, Caitlin Irvine-Smith, Madison Joy, Sara Kalawska, Laura Lopez, Campbell Murawski, Abbey Pickel and Olivia Templeton make up the other 17 returning swimmers and divers for the Pirates. Â
Jabs and his staff of Ryan McIntire, Daisy Platts and Tyler Watson, welcome nine new faces for the season in Lilou Alzaix, Cecilia Bragantini, Campbell Chandler, Riley Hawkins, Romina Hernandez, Alyssa Jackson, Tanith Mueller, Peyton Scott and Anna Zlota.
