September 29, 2025 | Men's Golf
GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina claimed its first team title Monday posting an 841 score (23 under) at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic. The two-day, 54-hole event was being held at the Ironwood Golf and Country Club.
Â
The Pirates, who won the event last year, finished eight shots ahead of UCF (15-under, 849), while Jacksonville State placed third (13-under/851). Rounding out the Top five were Appalachian State (11-under, 853), Gardner-Webb (7-under, 857) and Longwood (7-under, 857).
Â
Philip Lindberg Bondestad took first place for the second-straight event after firing an 11-under par 205. The win marked the second for Bondestad in his career and the first time a Pirate has won consecutive events sine Lucas Augustasson won back-to-back events in the spring of 2023.
Â
"Today means a lot," Bondestad said after winning his second career event. "I was thinking about it, as I was playing good from the start and I knew I had a chance to do it back-to-back, but I was just trying to stick to my process and try to be grounded, it worked out and feels amazing. It was a great team win on home turf and it's always good to get it done. The guys played well, and we were leading from the start, and we just kept it that way throughout the tournament."
Â
Davis DeLillie finished tied for fourth after posting an event score of 209 (7-under), Drew O'Neal and Luke Mosley carded a score of 212 (4-under) claiming a share of 11th place. Holden Rucker and Josh Davies finished with Top 25 finishes shooting a 1-under (215) for a share of 21st place, while Adam Lennermark finished tied for 27th at 216 (even par). Nathan O'Neal finished tied for 37th (2-over, 218) and Oscar Crowe took a share of 69th with a 227 (11 over).
