
41st Annual Pigskin Pig-Out Begins Friday

GREENVILLE, N.C. – With the 41st Annual Great Purple/Gold Pigskin Pig-Out, sponsored by Piggly Wiggly, beginning today, East Carolina fans will have a chance to enjoy the family-oriented festival style event beginning Friday, April 17. The event surrounds the annual ECU Purple-Gold Spring Football Game, which will be played at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. (ET). Admission is free to all of Pirate Nation.

Parking for all attendees will be available in all north lots:Â Shreve Silver, Wilkinson Gold, Shreve Blue and Grey as well as in Lower Minges. Entrance into Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is free, and fans must enter through the Carl and Connie Rogers Pirate Club Level gates on the south side of TowneBank Tower. ADA Shuttle pickup and drop off will be at Gates 5 and 6, next to the Murphy Center where general parking is located.
Returning this year is the ECU Equipment Sale where fans can purchase authentic Pirate items such as team issued clothes (jackets, hoodies, pullovers, quarter zips, polos, athletic shorts, swimwear and t-shirts) ranging from $5 to $20. Jerseys/on-field apparel from baseball, basketball, football and other sports range from $15 to $50, while hats, socks, shoes and accessories can be bought from anywhere between $5 and $20. General equipment, sports equipment, gloves and helmets (limited availability) are listed from $5 to $75.

Located in the Carl & Connie Rogers Pirate Club Level of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium underneath TowneBank Tower, doors open at 9:30 a.m. and equipment sale items can be purchased via card and cash payments.
