
Pirates Finish Up at Aggie Invitational in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The East Carolina Track & Field program delivered a strong showing across multiple event groups at the Aggie Invitational, highlighted by event victories, personal records and nationally ranked performances.Â
On the men's side, Ja'Darien Parker led the way in the sprints with a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash, clocking a 10.17. The mark ranks 19th nationally, second in the conference and fourth in program history. Tyson Tippett followed with a time of 10.28 to place fifth, moving to fourth in the conference and seventh in school history.Â
Parker continued his standout weekend in the 200-meter dash, placing second in 20.82, good for fourth in the conference, while Bryson Miller turned in a personal-best 20.88 to finish third and rank fifth in the conference. Tippett added an 8th-place finish in 21.09, slotting ninth in the conference standings.Â
In the middle-distance events, Jordan Good posted a personal-best 1:51.49 in the 800 meters, moving to seventh in the conference. The Pirates also saw success in the relay, as the men's 4x400-meter relay team clocked a 3:04.76, ranking 15th nationally and seventh in program history.Â
Field events were highlighted by Shakiel Dacres, who captured the discus title with a throw of 52.39 meters, while Faith Spencer secured a victory in the triple jump on the women's side.Â
For the women, Kelly Ufodiama delivered one of the top performances of the meet, running 11.25 in the 100 meters in the prelims. The time ranks 18th nationally and leads the conference. In the 400 meters, Ciara Douglas recorded a personal-best 54.15, moving to eighth in the conference and fourth in school history.Â
Kailey Elliott continued her strong season in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a personal-best 13.03 in prelims. The mark ranks 10th nationally, first in the conference and second in program history.Â
The Pirates' relay units also impressed, with the women's 4x100-meter relay finishing in 44.47 to rank 31st nationally and fourth in school history, while the 4x400-meter relay posted a 3:37.57, good for 39th nationally and also fourth all-time at ECU.Â
In the field events, Spencer added a personal-best mark of 6.03 meters in the long jump, ranking eighth in the conference and 10th in school history. Macy Dulaney recorded a personal-best 14.51 meters in the shot put, moving to eighth in the conference and ninth in program history.Â
Additional notable performances included a third-place finish in the women's 1500 meters by Navaya Zales (4:40.07) and a series of top-10 finishes on the men's side in both sprint and distance events.Â
