An individual, independent agency, corporate entity (e.g. apparel or equipment manufacturer) or other organization is a representative of East Carolina University Athletics interests (booster/donor), under any of the following conditions:
An individual, independent agency, corporate entity (e.g. apparel or equipment manufacturer) or other organization is a representative of East Carolina University Athletics interests (booster/donor), under any of the following conditions:
- You are a member of ANY organization that promotes ECU Athletics (e.g., Pirate Club).
- You have made financial contributions to ECU Athletics or to an athletics booster organization.
- You have assisted or have been asked to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes (which is not permitted).
- You have provided benefits (e.g., summer jobs or occasional meals) to enrolled student-Âathletes or their families.
- You are a former student at East Carolina University.
NOTE: Please remember that once you become an ECU donor, you retain that identity indefinitely.

- Always check with compliance before providing anything to a current ECU student-athlete or potential prospective student-athlete.
- Leave the recruiting to the coaches!
- Want to provide a meal for a student-athlete or team? Let the Pirate Club or Head Coach know, and they will follow-up with compliance regarding the approval process.
