Matt Holt was hired as an assistant equipment manager for East Carolina University Athletics in November of 2008.
Holt is responsible for the athletic equipment room for all Olympic sports, while also assisting with football. He handles orders and shipments from adidas manufacturing, maintains equipment budgets for teams and oversees the department's inventory system.
Holt arrived in Greenville after seven months as an assistant equipment manager at Rice University in 2008, after interning with the National Football League's Indianapolis Colts' equipment staff from April through September of 2007. He began his career in the field as a four-year student equipment manager at North Carolina State University from 2003-07.
A Sanford N.C., native, Holt is a 2007 graduate of NC State with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He has served as the Vice President in District III of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association since 2010.
Holt married his wife Cassidy in October of 2011, before the couple welcomed their first son, Cason.
