Marion serves as an operational support staff member that will work as liaison between the student-athletes and the financial aid office, while assisting with compliance, travel and admissions processes. He will also assist in entertaining recruits and their families during men’s basketball home games.
Prior to joining the staff at ECU, Marion worked as assistant director of basketball operations at ScoutsFocus for 16 months, assisting in managing of employees and internships, coordinating travel and managing the day-to-day office operations.
Marion was part of the East Carolina basketball program for two seasons as a student manager (2012-13) and as a graduate assistant (2013-14). During his previous stint with the Pirates, Marion assisted with recruiting weekends, team travel and summer camps in addition to administering and maintaining practice gear and equipment; and helping with scouting reports, film, practice and individual skill development sessions.
He received his bachelor’s degree in sports studies from East Carolina in 2013 with a minor in business administration.
