Jesse Lyman spent three seasons as the diving coach at East Carolina, joining the staff prior to the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
During his three seasons with the Pirates, Lyman's divers recorded 18 finals appearances at the American Athletic Conference championships, earning one gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Additionally, he helped Rodrigo Romero qualify for the 2020 NCAA Men's Diving Championships and eanr All-American honors.
Prior to joining the ECU coaching staff, Lyman spent previous three seasons as diving coach at Rowan University. During his tenure at Rowan, he coached two-time NCAA Division III All-America diver John Morris, who also earned All-American honorable mention accolades three times at the NCAA Championships. Lyman was also named Metropolitan Championships Coach-of-the-Year each season at Rowan.
As a student-athlete, Lyman was a four-year NCAA Division I diver at LSU, where he was a two-time NCAA Regional qualifier. He graduated from LSU in 2013 with a degree in history education and a minor in political science.
