Kasey Countee is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the ECU men’s tennis team after returning to his alma mater prior to the 2019-20 season.

Along with his duties with the Pirates, Countee is currently the assistant tennis pro at Wimbledon Tennis & Recreation Center. Countee is also pursuing his Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Â

Countee, a native of Cheltenham, Md., was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates between 2014 and 2018. He compiled a 65-40 singles mark as a Pirate and went 47-31 in doubles play. He saved his best season for his senior year, going 20-8 in singles and 19-10 in doubles and helping ECU to a school-record 22-5 record. Countee graduated from ECU in 2018 with a degree in Recreation Park Management.
