Pat McGlynn joined the ECU Athletics Media Relations staff in July 2018.
McGlynn works primarily with the Pirates’ women's basketball team along with the ECU lacrosse, soccer and tennis programs in addition to assisting with the communication efforts of the remaining intercollegiate athletic programs.
The Liverpool, N.Y., native came to ECU after spending the 2017-18 athletic year as a sports information staff assistant at Duke University. McGlynn served as the primary contact for the Blue Devils’ cross country, track and field, and women’s tennis program, while handling secondary contact duties for the Duke men’s basketball team. He also assisted with game day operations for football, field hockey, wrestling, lacrosse and softball.
Prior to Duke, McGlynn interned in the Sports Information Department at Clarkson University where he served as the primary contact for the Division I women’s hockey national championship team as well as its soccer, Nordic skiing and baseball programs.
A 2014 Hamilton College graduate, McGlynn earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics with a minor in cinema and new media studies and a was four-year letterman on the soccer team. He received his MBA from Clarkson three years later.
