Pirates Earn IWLCA Academic Recognitions

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – 11 members of the 2025 East Carolina lacrosse team have earned IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) Division I Academic Honor Roll recognition, the organization announced Wednesday. Additionally, the Pirates earned Academic Honor Squad honors as a team.

Jaime Behar, Rachel Chessock, Erin Gulden, Maya Koebke, Emma Magazu, Caroline Meininger, Maeci Moore, Taylor Padgett, Regan Reed, Katelyn Sclafani and Emily Stratton all represented the Pirates on the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

To qualify for the prestigious team honor, the squad must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Pirates registered an impressive 3.73 cumulative average.

The Pirates are coming off of a successful 2025 campaign on the field as well, recording a program record 4-2 league record, qualifying for the American Conference Tournament, and finished with an overall record of 7-10.
