Masaracchia Selected For IWLCA Developmental Program

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – East Carolina's Paris Masaracchia is one of 26 coaches selected to take part in this year's IWLCA Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program the organization announced on Friday.

Masaracchia, who was hired to Haley Hicklen's staff in June of 2026, was a four-year starter at Clemson University from 2023-26 before coming to Greenville, N.C. She set the school record for ground balls (113) while registering 100 career turnovers and 95 draw controls. Masaracchia was an instrumental part of the Tiger program that tallied 52 wins, secured a pair of second round NCAA appearances, made four consecutive quarterfinal and two-straight semifinal appearances in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.

The Enola, Pa. native's on-field accolades consists of being a three-time IWLCA All-South Regional selection (first team/2024, second team/2025-26), two-time USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America Honorable Mention (2025-26), ACC All-Tournament Team (2025), Nike Lacrosse Preseason Women's DI Media Third-Team All-American (2025) and ACC All-Freshman Team (2023).

Aspire, which launched in 2024, was designed to align with the IWLCA's vision to offer an intensive, high-quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches. This Aspire class features two cohorts of 13 coaches each for 2026-27.

The IWLCA continues to work with e.t.c. coaching consultants to plan and execute the Aspire program's curriculum, and Sarah McQuade and Julie Muller will serve as the lead facilitators. The parallel cohorts will partake in virtual and in-person programming throughout the fall semester, wrapping up in January 2027 to allow the participants time to focus on their teams and put their coursework to use during their competitive season.
