ECU Women's Soccer Players Receive C-USA Honors

Senior Amanda Duffy (Jacksonville, N.C.) earned first team honors as she led the Pirates in scoring this season with 10 goals, three of which were game-winning goals. She caped off regular season play with five assists and 25 points. Duffy became the all-time career goal record holder early in the season and now stands with 32.
Junior sweeper Penny Perrott (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) was named to the second team. Perrott a solid defender for the Pirates, anchored the back line and scored two goals on the season, one of which was a game-winning goal, and recording one assist.
Junior Mindy Nixon (Virginia Beach, Va.) earned third team honors, playing a versatile role on the field between defense and midfield. Nixon's speed brought her up to the offense line at times where she put away one goal and three assists.
Freshman Meghan McCallion (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had a strong start to her career at ECU and was named to the all-freshman team. In her debut season, she scored nine goals, had six assists and totaled with 24 points.
The Pirates (10-5-4) are seeded third in the Conference USA Tournament and play sixth-seeded Houston tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Charlotte.
