Pirates 4x100 Relay Qualifies For NCAA Finals

Today's action saw the 4x100 meter relay team of senior Darren Tuitt, junior Jeremy Carter, freshman B.J. Henderson, and junior Julien Dunkley qualify for Friday's finals. The squad finished the event in a season-best time of 39.31 seconds, good for fifth place.
LSU finished the race first running in 38.32 seconds, followed by Tennessee (38.71), Clemson (38.96), Southern California (39.26) and the Pirates.
"We had a good race today. We ran well and got off to a good start," said Head Coach Bill Carson. "Tomorrow will be a busy day and we're looking to get after it and have some excellent performances."
The finals of the 4x100 relay will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow's action will see Henderson in the 400 meter preliminaries (6:30 p.m.), Dunkley in the 100 meter preliminaries(7:00), and the fourth-ranked Pirates in the 4x400 meter preliminaries (8:20).
