Jeremy Carter Named C-USA Track Athlete of the Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina University senior Jeremy Carter (Raleigh, N.C.) has been named Conference USA's Male Track & Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office today.
Carter, an All-American in 2002, receives this honor for the first time this season.
Carter captured three top-five finishes at the George Mason Invitational last weekend. He won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.74, while claiming second place in the 60-meter dash (6.79). He also finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (6.79).
His time of 21.74 in the 200-meter dash currently ranks second in the conference.
The Pirates return to action this Saturday at the University of Florida Collegiate Invitational.
