The Blue Demons (28-4, 13-1 C-USA) beat the Pirates in six innings with a score of 8-0 in game one and won with a score of 7-2 in game two. In the first game, the Blue Demons out-hit the Pirates 12-2. Katy Kukman hit a triple in the second inning to get the action going for DePaul. She was able to score when Christina Douglas grounded out to the shortstop.
The Demons took a commanding lead in the fourth. The inning started with Saskia Roberson walking to first base and Doezie entering to pinch run. On a sacrifice bunt from Sarah Douglas, Doezie advanced to second. Kukman then singled to right field and scored the runner.
