
Track Pirates Run at UT's Sea Ray Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Members of East Carolina's track and field team competed today in the 37th annual Sea Ray Relays. The 2003 edition of the Sea Ray Relays boasts 1,524 men's and women's athletes lining up for 114 teams competing Wednesday through Saturday on newly renovated Tom Black Track.
For the men's sprinters, sophomore Ronnie Pollard took 14th in the 100-meter dash (10.66) and senior Jeremy Carter placed 16th (10.70). In the 200-meter dash Pollard placed 15th (21.60) and Carter earned 19th place (21.60).
Domonick Richmond placed 11th in the 400m (47.63) and B.J. Henderson took 14th place (47.98). In the 800-meter run Jamal Nisbett placed 28th (1:52.58).
Sophomore Krystel Pabey represented the women's team earning 15th place in the javelin (40.99m, 134-06). The Pirates will compete in the Sea Ray Relays again tomorrow, and other members of the team will head to Charlotte for the USTCA Collegiate Challenge.
