Remaining Games Cancelled At Triangle Classic

RALEIGH, N.C. --- All games scheduled for Sunday at the Triangle Classic have been cancelled announced tournament officials late Saturday night.
Play was suspended due to adverse weather conditions during the afternoon with East Carolina leading Elon, 6-2, in the top of the seventh inning.
The game was tied at 2-all entering the top of the seventh before the Pirates came to bat. Senior Kristen Johnson's two-RBI double broke the tie, and then junior Mandi Nichols followed with a two-run single. The Pirates had recorded five consecutive hits before play was suspended.
Sophomore Brentley Bridgeforth has allowed two runs on four hits through six innings for ECU.
The Pirates went 3-0 in the tournament and wil return to action Friday as its hosts the Pirate Classic.
