In the championship game, ECU plated three runs in the top of the third. Sheridan doubled home Hill to score the first run before Manuse doubled home a pair of runs. UAB then tied the score at three-all in the bottom half of the frame.
Each of the Pirates' three pitchers tossed at least two innings in the game. Maggie Lingo pitched the first 2.2 innings, Keli Harrell the next 2.1 innings, while Brently Bridgeforth earned the win by tossing the final two innings.
The Pirates reached the title game by defeating College of Charleston in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament Sunday morning and then besting Bowling Green in the second round.
In the first round game against College of Charleston, Lara Brickhouse hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to lift ECU to a 3-2 victory.
Lingo pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout against Bowling Green to help ECU advance to the title game, 1-0. The Pirates scored the game's only run in the bottom of the sixth as Manuse singled home Hill after she singled and stole second to move into scoring position.
The Pirates return home Tuesday to open a three-game Conference USA series against UAB.
