GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's soccer team dropped its fourth Conference USA match of the season Wednesday afternoon at Bunting Field falling to Memphis 2-1 in overtime.
The Pirates (6-10, 2-4 C-USA) dominated the first half of play recording nine shots, five of them on goal while holding the second most potent offense in C-USA to just one shot.

ECU continued to dominate the game on both sides of the ball until the final four minutes of regulation when Memphis (10-4, 4-1 C-USA) started taking a barrage of shots at Pirate goalkeeper Amber Campbell (Frederick, Md.).
In the games final seconds, Shoko Mikami placed a corner kick in the middle of the goalie box and Candace Halvorson was there for the header to tie the score at 1-1 with just five ticks left in regulation.
During the overtime period, Asuka Kubota found Mikami open from midfield for the game-winning goal in the 94th minute for a 2-1 Tiger victory.
On the afternoon Campbell recorded three saves on eight shots faced, while Briones collected nine saves on 13 shots.
