Nichols Earns C-USA Weekly Accolade

IRVING, Texas --- East Carolina senior Mandi Nichols has been named Conference USA co-Hitter of the Week announced league officials on Monday. Nichols shares the weekly honor with USF outfielder Tiffany Stewart. It is the second time that Nichols has received the weekly award during her career.

Nichols belted a pair of game-winning home runs, including a grand slam in a 5-3 game two victory, to lead ECU to a three-game sweep of Houston this past weekend. The senior finished the week 7-for-12 (.583) with four extra base-hits and eight RBI. In midweek action, Nichols went 4-for-4 with two doubles in a twinbill sweep of UNC Wilmington.

For the season, she is hitting .369 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI.
