Harrell Named C-USA Co-Pitcher of the Week

IRVING, Texas ? East Carolina sophomore Keli Harrell has been named Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week announced league officials on Monday. Harrell shares the weekly accolade with DePaul's Megan Huitnik.
A two-time recipient of the weekly award, Harrell earned the victory in each of the Pirates' three wins over Charlotte this past weekend. Harrell picked up a pair of complete game victories, while becoming the first player in school history to strikeout 300 batters in a season. She tossed 18.1 innings overall, struck out 14 and yielding just one earned run.
In the series finale, Harrell limited the 49ers to just one hit, struck out eight and didn't allow a runner beyond first base.
She leads C-USA in wins (28), strikeouts (311), innings pitched (260.0) and saves (7).
