BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Freshman Jessica Johnson drove in four runs to lead ECU to a 10-0 route of Campbell in game two of a doubleheader.
In the night cap, the Pirates jumped on the Camels for a run in the first and seven runs in the second. Johnson was responsible for a great deal of the damage with an RBI double in the first and a three-run home run to center field in the second. The Pirates added single runs in the third and fifth inning.
The first five ECU batters all reached safely in the second inning with Alison Monce leading off with a double. Following a bunt single by Sarah Bibee, both Monce and Bibee scored on an error. An RBI-single from Erin St. Ledger plated another run before Johnson homered.
Freshman Brooke Swann (5-2) earned the victory in the nightcap facing just one batter over the minimum. All five of Swann's victories this season have been shutout wins. She has allowed just 11 hits in 31.0 innings pitched in those victories.
Lexi Myers (0-3) started in the circle for Campbell and allowed eight runs, six earned, on eight hits in 1.2 innings of work. Kelly Weaver entered in relief tossing the final 3.1 innings allowing two runs on five hits.
