
Icenhower Set To Compete At Regional Champiohsips

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- East Carolina senior Christie Icenhower will compete at the NCAA Regional Diving Championship at Auburn University beginning Friday, March 14.
Icenhower posted her top three-meter board score of her career this season at the prestigious Nike Cup in Chapel Hill. Icenhower tallied a final score of 336.8o to earn first place honors in the event.
"I am very excited about her chances once we get to Auburn" said Pirate diving coach Rich MacDonald. "This meet will have some of the best divers in the country. She has worked very hard to get to this point and she is ready for this competition."
This will be her fourth appearance in the NCAA Regional Championships. Icenhower has earned the team's top diver award each season since arriving on campus. An All-Conference USA performer, she holds ECU varsity records on the one-meter and three meter boards.
The national diving championships will be held at Ohio State University, March 20-22.
