
Icenhower Concludes Career At NCAA Regioanls

AUBURN, Ala. - East Carolina senior Christie Icenhower concluded her career at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships this weekend at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala.
Icenhower became the first women's diver in ECU history to qualify for the finals of the zone championships in both the one-meter and three-meter competition.
"What a great way for Christie to end her career," said Pirate diving coach Rich MacDonald. "She has done some much for this program over the past four years. She will be missed."
Competition began on Friday with the women's one-meter boards. Icenhower posted a score of 237.35 in the preliminaries then recorded a score of 220.50 in the finals competition for a final score of 457.85 and an 18th place finish.
On Saturday, she competed on the three-meter board and posted a score of 276.00 to advance to the finals. Icenhower recorded a score of 256.80 in the finals competition and placed 15th.
During her four-year career at East Carolina, Icenhower established eight school records, including varsity records on the one-meter and three-meter boards.
