TUCSON, Ariz. - The East Carolina women's golf team posted a 36-hole score of 596 (299-297) at the 10th annual Mountainview Collegiate and currently sits in eighth place with one round 18 holes remaining.
The University of Oklahoma posted an impressive first-round total of 287 and closed the day with a 589 team score, along with Indiana University, as the Sooners and Hoosiers are both tied for first place.
Senior Emelie Lind is tied for 10th after recording rounds of 75 and 71, while Amber Littman (73-74=147) and Abby Bools (72-75=147) are tied for 13th. Sophomore Ana Maria Puche (156) is tied for 68th and Colleen Estes (157) is tied for 73rd.
San Jose State's Erica Moston (140) holds a three-shot lead over Lauren Harling (Indiana) and Laura Nochta (Indiana) who are tied for second at 143. Sara-Maude Juneau (Louisville) and Rosalyn Kim (Texas Tech) are tied for fourth at 144.
The final round of the tournament is scheduled to get underway with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
