GREENVILLE, N.C. - Following a sixth place finish its season opening tournament, the East Carolina women's golf team returns to action Monday, Oct. 5 when they participate in the 2009 Windy City Collegiate Classic, which is hosted by Northwestern University. The event will be played at the par 72, 6,539-yard Glen Golf Club in Chicago, Ill.
The Pirates (11-5), who are ranked 60th by the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, will be joined in the 15-team field by Arizona (No. 16), Illinois (No. 50), Iowa State (No. 49), Michigan (No. 74), New Mexico (No. 17), Northwestern (No. 41), Notre Dame (No. 73), Oklahoma (No.78), Purdue (No. 14), TCU (No. 28), Tulane (No. 30), UNC Greensboro (No. 80), UNC Wilmington (No. 88) and UNLV (No. 37).
The 54-hole tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday starting at 8:30 a.m., which will be followed by 18 holes Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 a.m.
