Three Pirate Golfers Named All-Conference

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina's Abby Bools and Amber Littman were named first-team All-Conference USA as selected by the conference head coaches the league announced Tuesday. For both Bools and Littman it is their second consecutive year as a first-team selection.
Bools, who was a two-time C-USA Golfer-of-the-Week honoree, posted a 75.07 season stroke average in nine events, which ranks as the fifth-lowest single-season score in school history. She has participated in 30 career events posting 16 top-10's and 21 top-20's with a 75.89 career stroke average, third-lowest in ECU's history.
Littman played in 10 events during her sophomore season posting a 76.43 stroke average, which is good enough for ninth place on the Pirates single-season charts. During her two-year career, the 2008 C-USA Freshman-of-the-Year, has recorded nine top-10 and 14 top-20 finishes with a 75.77 stroke average (fourth-lowest all-time).
Junior Ana Maria Puche was named second-team All C-USA after finishing tied for third at the 2009 C-USA Championships. In 10 events she fired a 76.73 stroke average and recorded five top-10's and seven top-20 finishes. In 31 career tournaments she boasts a 77.11 stroke average which ranks fifth all-time and has nine top-10's and 17 top-20's placements.
Tulane racked up on the C-USA post-season yearly honors with Linn Gustafsson taking home both Player-of-the-Year and Newcomer-of-the-Year accolades, while Daniela Holmqvist was named Freshman-of-the-Year and J.T. Horton Coach-of-the-Year.
The Pirates will have to wait until April 27th to see if they will compete in their fifth NCAA Regional.
