GREENVILLE, N.C. - After dropping both games of Saturday's doubleheader, the East Carolina softball team (22-14, 5-3 C-USA) tries to win the final game of the series against UAB (24-11, 8-3 C-USA) Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
East Carolina resumes action Wednesday with a doubleheader at rival N.C. State (23-17). The first game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Last season, the Pirates swept the season series from the Wolfpack, claiming a 5-0 triumph in 10 innings in Raleigh and a 3-1 victory in Greenville.

When falling behind this season, opponents have had a very hard time coming back on the Pirates, especially after the fourth inning. East Carolina has a 21-4 record when scoring first and is 19-0 when leading after four innings, 13-0 when ahead after five frames and 13-0 when leading after six.
