
East Carolina Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The East Carolina women’s soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
The Pirates posted a 3.35 grade point average and received recognition for the 14th time in the last 16 years. The NSCAA Team Academic Award, which was instituted in 1996, honors any team with a 3.0 GPA or higher. In all, 887 soccer teams (313 men, 574 women) met the minimum requirement to receive the award.
ECU’s grade point average ranks second among American Athletic Conference women’s soccer programs behind only Temple (3.44).
