GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's soccer team will begin its final home stand of the 2015 season when it hosts Tulsa on Friday, Oct. 23 for Senior Night at Johnson Soccer Stadium. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

East Carolina (7-8-2, 2-4-1 AAC) suffered a 3-0 defeat at Cincinnati last Friday evening. Senior goalkeeper Saundra Baron recorded double-digit saves for the second-straight match with 11.
ALL-TIME VERSUS TULSA
Friday's match will be the 10th overall meeting between the two programs, as ECU holds a 6-2-1 lead in the all-time series. The Pirates escaped with a 1-0 road victory over the Golden Hurricane last season on a 31st-minute goal by Lana Spitler.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Tulsa (12-4-1, 3-3-1 AAC) enters Friday's match with three losses in its last four contests, the most recent coming in a 2-1 double overtime setback against 15th-ranked and first place UConn. Striker Rachel Thun is one of the conference's top scoring threats and leads the Golden Hurricane in goals (7), assists (7), points (21), shots (57) and shots on goal (25). Goalkeeper Courtney McKeon owns a 6-4-1 mark with four shutouts to complement a 0.97 goals against average and .814 save percentage.
CHASE FOR THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
With two games left in the regular season, East Carolina currently sits in a three-way tie with Temple and SMU with seven points in conference play. The top eight teams will advance to the conference tournament, which will begin Nov. 3 in Dallas, Texas.

East Carolina has won three matches with less than a minute to play or later, including a pair of double overtime victories (Western Carolina & Charlotte) and on a goal with 31 seconds left in regulation (UCF). The Pirates also lost a match on a goal with 27 seconds to go (at SMU).
COUNTING DOWN
East Carolina women's soccer is just three victories shy of 200 in its history. Since the inception of the program in 1994, the Pirates have averaged greater than nine victories per season.
SEASON OF SHUTOUTS - THE SEQUEL?
ECU posted 11 shutouts in 2014, which tied the 2007 team for the most in a single season in school history, and the Pirates have eight in their first 16 games in 2015.
BARON'S BARREN NET
Redshirt senior goalkeeper has recorded eight shutouts in ECU's first 16 matches this season, the fourth most in a single season in program history. The Greensboro, N.C., native has blanked opponents in 13 in her last 24 starts dating back to 2014.
