GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's soccer team will host 18th-ranked USF in its second American Athletic Conference home match of the season on Sunday, Oct. 4. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., at Johnson Soccer Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
East Carolina (7-5-1, 2-1-0 AAC) defeated UCF, 1-0, on senior Kendall Frey's game-winning goal with 31 seconds remaining in regulation on Thursday evening. Senior goalkeeper Saundra Baron made six saves to preserve her conference-leading seventh shutout of the year.
ALL-TIME VERSUS USF
The Bulls and Pirates are tied, 2-2-1, in the all-time series, as the teams met twice in 2014 - once during the regular season and again in the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference Championship. USF won the regular season contest, 2-0, before defeating ECU, 3-0, in the tournament. Both matches were played on the Bulls' home field in Tampa, Fla. USF's last trip to Greenville came in 2004, when the Pirates earned a 2-1 victory.
SCOUTING THE BULLS
USF (9-2-1, 2-1-0 AAC) enters Sunday's match ranked 18th in the NSCAA national poll and 23rd in the Top Drawer Soccer Poll, but dropped its first league match, 1-0, at Cincinnati on Friday afternoon. The Bulls are led by all-conference striker Olivia Chance's six goals, six assists and 18 points, while Leticia Skeete has three goals and three assists. Defender Jackie Simpson has two goals and is regarded as one of the top backers in the region.
COUNTING DOWN
East Carolina women's soccer is just three victories shy of 200 in its history. Since the inception of the program in 1994, the Pirates have averaged greater than nine victories per season.
BARON'S BARREN NET
Redshirt senior goalkeeper has recorded seven shutouts in ECU's first 13 matches this season. The Greensboro, N.C., native has blanked opponents in 12 in her last 19 starts dating back to 2014.
SEASON OF SHUTOUTS - THE SEQUEL?
ECU posted 11 shutouts in 2014, which tied the 2007 team for the most in a single season in school history, and the Pirates have seven in their first 13 games in 2015.
SPITLER, BARON EARN WEEKLY HONORABLE MENTIONS
Lana Spitler and Saundra Baron were named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll on Monday, Sept. 21. Spitler netted the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute of Sunday's 1-0 win over Old Dominion, while Baron made five saves in her fifth shutout of the year.
CASH REGISTERS AAC ROOKIE HONOR
Freshman forward Courtney Cash was named American Athletic Conference Rookie-of-the-Week after scoring her first collegiate goal in game-winning fashion, netting the lone score in the 107th minute of the Pirates' 1-0 double overtime victory over Western Carolina on Sept. 11.
SEAGRAVE SEALS IT
Fifth-year senior Stephanie Seagrave scored a golden goal in the 110th minute of a 3-2 double overtime win at Charlotte on Sept. 13. The score was Seagrave's second of the season and eighth of her career, yet just her first game-winning strike in her 57th-collegiate match.
DOUBLE OT HISTORY
East Carolina won back-to-back double overtime games against Western Carolina and Charlotte on Sept. 11 and 13, marking the first time the Pirates accomplished the feat since Oct. 22 and 24 at Cincinnati and Louisville in 2004. The last time ECU won two double overtime matches in a season was 2008.
