
East Carolina Softball Releases Fall Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina softball team will be back in action for the fall season it was announced by head coach Courtney Oliver Thursday. The Pirates will host three fall games at ECU Softball Stadium, while playing three on the road.
ECU opens the fall season Saturday, Sept. 26 at Walnut Creek Park in Raleigh, N.C. against North Carolina at 10 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. match up with UNC Greensboro.
The Pirates host UNC Pembroke Sunday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. at ECU Softball Stadium before taking on Longwood at 2 p.m. UNC Pembroke and Longwood will play each other at noon between the Pirates' games.
The final home fall game will be played Saturday, Oct. 24 at noon at ECU Softball Stadium. East Carolina will host Pitt Community College in the contest.
The Pirates will wrap up the fall season Sunday, Oct. 25 in Elon, N.C., with a noon doubleheader against the Phoenix at Hunt Softball Park.
East Carolina is coming off of a season in which it finished 16-37 overall and 7-11 in American Athletic Conference action. The Pirates return 15 student-athletes from a year ago, led by First Team All-American Conference senior shortstop Casey Alcorn. Additionally, ECU has added four new names to the roster with a quartet of incoming freshman. At the helm of the ECU Softball program is first-year head coach Courtney Oliver
