GREENVILLE, N.C. – Erin Parker hit a walk-off solo home run as East Carolina outlasted South Florida, 2-1, to take the series over the Bulls on Saturday afternoon at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.

Parker's game-winning hit marked back-to-back games that the Pirates (27-21, 11-9 American) won on a walk-off home run after Gabby Fowler's in yesterday's game.

Fowler got ECU on the board first with an RBI double to score Kanisha Anderson in the bottom of the first and both teams' defenses held serve until a Pirate error allowed USF to tie the game in the top of the fifth.

Neither team could score the go-ahead run until Parker stepped up to the plate to pinch hit with two outs and sent the first pitch over the outfield wall.

Taylor Apple (5-3) picked up the win in relief of Sydney Rainford while Belle Sardja (6-5) took the loss.

Up Next
East Carolina will go for the series sweep tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. on ESPN+. The game was moved up an hour due to the potential for inclement weather.
