GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina wraps up its four-game homestand this weekend when the Pirates host the team atop the American Conference standings in South Florida at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
The series opener is slated for a 5 p.m. first pitch on Friday, followed by a game on Saturday (2 p.m.) and the series finale on Sunday (11 a.m.). All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
ECU returns to the diamond after a 7-3 loss to North Carolina on Tuesday night. Kanisha Anderson (.379) leads the Pirates at the plate and is second in the American in hits with 58. Trinity Nichols (.336), Anna Sawyer (.324) and Macey Ciamillo (.300) join Anderson as Pirate batters that are hitting above .300. Julia Apostolakos (3.25 ERA, 84 Ks), Sydney Rainford (3.50 ERA, 49 Ks) and Taylor Apple (4.01 ERA, 24 Ks) make up ECU's three top arms in the circle.

South Florida leads the country in sac bunts with 51 and the offense is led by Alex Wilkes (.344) and Toryn Fulton (.342). The Bulls' pitching staff leads the American in ERA (2.84), headlined by conference pitcher of the week Anne Long (1.63 ERA, 75 Ks).

South Florida leads the all-time series with East Carolina 39-15 and the Bulls have won three of the last four meetings including a 3-1 decision in the semifinals of last year's American Conference Championship. The last time the Bulls were in Greenville, the Pirates won the season series in 2024, taking the opener 6-2 and the series finale 8-1.
