
Arentewicz, Montini Named November Student-Athletes Of The Month

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Freshman Jacek Arentewicz of the swimming and diving program and senior Natalie Montini of the volleyball team have been named the male and female Student-Athletes of the Month following an outstanding November athletically.

Arentewicz reached two "A" finals at the Georgia Tech Invitational as well as qualifying for NCAA "B" cuts in the 100m and 200m breaststroke events. He is currently ranked 45th nationally in the 200m breaststroke and 51st in the 100m breaststroke.

Montini led ECU to a 6-2 record in November, helping the Pirates end the regular season with 22 victories – the most wins in a single season for the program since 1982. She was named to the All-AAC First Team, marking the first ECU player to earn first-team all-conference accolades since Kelley Wernert in 2007 (Conference USA).

Montini finished the season ranked among the top 20 in the conference in hitting percentage (third), 13th in points per set, 15th in blocks per set and 18th in kills per set. She posted 19 kills in the Pirates' first-ever win at Cincinnati Nov. 22. Montini ended her career with over 300 blocks, placing her on the ECU career top 10 list (seventh).
