GREENVILLE, N.C. – Continuing a non-conference series that enumerates nearly 100 games, the East Carolina softball team travels south to Wilmington for a doubleheader against in-state opponent UNCW. Game one from Boseman Field is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

East Carolina began American Athletic Conference play last weekend, dropping two of three at Memphis. Senior RHP Lydia Ritchie limited Memphis to just two hits over 5.1 innings in the win while senior outfielder Ciara Ervin notched her first home run of the campaign.
Â
Senior outfielder Ali Ramirez is batting .341 to lead an ECU offense that is hitting .267 collectively. Junior infielder Meredith Burroughs and redshirt junior catcher Alex Mycek also check in above .300 at .326 and .310 respectively. The Pirates lead the AAC in slugging percentage (.468), runs scored (181), RBI (163), doubles (42), home runs (41), total bases (393) and walks drawn (126).
Â
Individually, East Carolina boasts several players who lead the conference in various statistical categories – senior outfielder Kacie Oshiro (doubles/9), senior outfielder Ali Ramirez (hit by pitch/9), Mycek (home runs/10, walks/23) and Burroughs (home runs/10, total bases/64, sacrifice flies/4).
