Pirates Lose to 49ers in Charlotte

Charlotte, N.C. – The ECU women's soccer team lost its second match in as many games Sunday afternoon when Charlotte scored back-to-back goals overcoming the Pirates 2-1. Cashlin Copley scored ECU's lone goal while Megan Greene and Martha Thomas tallied one each for the 49ers.

Copley scored, unassisted, in the 14th minute on a low shot that snuck past Alvia McKelvy in goal. McKelvy made six saves and allowed one goal in her first win of the season. Michelle Newhouse made five saves and allowed 2 goals moving her record to 3-2-1 on the season.
